Weather Blessing
God is so good! I must be a favorite, hurricane Bill missed Puerto Rico! The weather was great during our trip. Strangest thing, we did get an occasional sprinkle and the rain was so warm! Must be the close proximity to the equator. You see living in the high desert when it rains, it is very cool so warm rain was quite bizarre. We spent most of the day driving around sight seeing and didn't spend time on our tan (much needed as it is) but more about our adventures will be coming real soon!

Weather
Well, it's just our luck, its supposed to rain like all week in P.R. Still I'm looking at some of the natural wonders there, we'll check out El Yunque Rain Forest, Camuy River Cave Park, El Salto de Collazo (in San Sebastian), and Aquirre Forest (maybe we'll see some manatees!)
There are forts and museums to check out as well, I just don't know how much fun in the sun we'll be able to partake in this trip.
Even with the rumors of thunderstorms, my anticipation builds as I'm packing!
Well, God has been good to us that we can take this trip!

Vacation Countdown
Less than a week to go!
Well, we couldn't get a convertable...none of the rental places have them in PR :(
However, we got a great deal with Enterprise using a Costco membership!
Our lodging has also changed, we couldn't get the special pricing at Hotel El Convento,
so we looked at Villa Montana Beach Resort, a secluded condo resort on Puerto Rico's northwest coast..I liked the description 'thickly cushioned lounge chairs cosset sunbathers on the long beach and around two pools. Hammocks are arrayed on a beachfront lawn. The resort's beachfront restaurant and bar includes lounging areas with daybeds' sounds dreamy right?
Well then we looked at the pictures of the rooms and were like "eh", you know not exactly well, you know the grounds and restuarant looked real nice..but the rooms, so we kept looking.
We decided to go with Rincon Beach Resort facing a secluded beach along the calm, clear waters of AƱasco Bay located along Puerto Rico's west coast since we are renting a car we thought it nice to travel to the tourist attraction and stay here to relax, maybe rent a paddle boat! I would like to check out Hotel El Convento when we go to San Juan, its history just facinates me and I want to check out the architecture as well.
So the excitement is building and even as our plans change, we are so looking forward to the time together.

Woes
Misplaced my drivers license, my only form of picture ID.
Called airlines, though, and found out I could use my birthcertificate and SS card or a Credit Card or auto insurance card. I think it weird because none of that has my picture on it.
Don't get me wrong, I count it a blessing since we leave in a week. However, it's rather unsettling to consider all passengers have the same standard...it just doesn't seem right.
Well, I'm not giving up, still praying I'll find my license before the weekend.
I found my license in my husband's shirt I borrowed and put in the laundry, no I did not wash it, but as I sheepishly and enthusiasticly told my husband..well I sure felt silly but relived to have found it!!
